Arsenal dropped points for the third successful game, but Arteta explains why the loss to Fulham is different from the previous two games against West Ham and Liverpool.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has branded the defeat to Fulham as their worst game of the season and said that the Cottagers deserved to win.
Marco Silva’s side beat the Gunners 2-1 at Cravens Cottage to prevent the North London side from returning to the top of the table.

What Arteta said
The defeat to Fulham was Arsenal’s second consecutive defeat and the third game in a row in which they failed to win as they drew Liverpool and lost to West Ham before the trip to West London.
Arteta does not believe it suggests a downward trend, as they played well against Liverpool and should have beaten West Ham; however, against Fulham, he admitted they were poor and deserved to go home empty-handed.
"We weren't good enough. We lost three days ago when we deserved to win, but today we were nowhere near that level,” the Arsenal boss told SkySports, per the BBC.
"We conceded two very similar goals, giving the ball away. Defensively, we were second best.
"We had a great performance against Liverpool; against West Ham, this is the one you have to isolate as it is our worst performance of the season."
Meanwhile, we reviewed three unwanted milestones Arsenal reached with the loss to Marco Silva’s Fulham.
