Brazilian forward Vitor Roque, along with the Brazilian U23 national team, have escaped a worrisome encounter with the powers of nature in Morocco after they dodged the earthquake that rocked Marrakech.

The Brazilian squad is in Morocco to play the country’s U23 team in a two-legged series of friendlies to prepare for the 2024 Olympics in Paris and have already played against the Atlas Lions’ youth side in the first match of the series.

Barcelona new signing Vitor Roque rejected top Premier League clubs including Manchester United to sign for the Blaugrana, according to his agent.
Brazil lost the first leg to Morocco and were in their hotel in Fez awaiting the second leg on Monday when the earthquake, which has now claimed more than 1,000 lives, hit.
The entire team was forced to evacuate their hotel rooms in Fez as the 6.8 magnitude earthquake was felt in most parts of Morocco and even some neighbouring countries.
Vitor Roque set for Barcelona move
The Brazil U23 team did not record any casualties while they mustered by the hotel pool before moving back to their rooms for the night.

The Brazil U23 team also included Chelsea’s Andre Santos, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Tobias, and Manchester City’s Kayky.
