American sprint queen Gabby Thomas will not be running in many events again this year, having opted for a select few but lucrative races, to feature in.
Olympics champion Gabby Thomas will maintain her style of running fewer races as she comes close to beginning her 2025 season.
Thomas has released her schedule for 2025 and it involves key lucrative events but the Diamond Leagues will be off her schedule again this year.
The 28-year-old will begin her season at the Texas Relays on March 29 which will act as her build up ahead of the inaugural Grand Slam Track.

Thomas, who lives in and trains in Austin, Texas, will look to start off well before heading to Kingston, Jamaica, where the first of the four legs of Grand Slam Track will take place from April 4-5.
After that, she will head to the second leg in Miami from May 2-3, the third round in Philadelphia (May 31-June 1) and the final leg in Los Angeles from June 8-29 with winners of each event pocketing $100,000 per leg at Grand Slam Track.

Thomas will then begin her preparations for the World Championships but first, she will need to qualify at the USA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, from July 31-August 3 and if she qualifies, she will be among the star attractions at the global event in Tokyo, Japan from September 13-21.
The Paris Olympics three-time gold medalist will be looking to win her first world title in 200m amid stiff competition from her American and Jamaican rivals, after silver in 2023.
Thomas will end her season at the women’s-only Athlos event, whose second edition will take place in New York on October 10.
