SC Villa reacted almost immediately to share spoils with Gaddafi in a highly-tempered match played on Saturday at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.

There were exchanges between both coaches, Wasswa Bbosa and Jackson Magera, with the centre referee Shamira Nabadda.

Villa, in particular, were not happy when the set officiating the match cancelled Rogers Kiwanuka's strike in the 40th minute.

Kiwanuka completed a pass from Hassan Musana, but it was flagged off, leaving both sides and the fans to debate. Both sides kept pushing.

Quickfire

Gaddafi almost broke the deadlock shortly after the hour-mark, but a Bakari Magumba saw his header rebound off the crossbar.

The soldier Boys captain Andrew Waiswa had curled in a free kick that eluded Martin Elungat for the skipper to head.

Stephen Munguchi controlled the rebounder and attempted a beautiful overhead kick, but the ball kept rising.

The hosts finally succeeded in their push in the 68th minute. Elvis Ng'onde drilled in a corner that Villa failed to deal with and found Alex Kitata unmarked at the far post for the striker to bury.

The Jogoos reacted immediately to restore parity and share spoils.

Oryem Tabu got at the end of a quick counterattack just a minute later and controlled it at the byline before crossing for Joseph Kafumbe to volley in.

Villa remains fifth on the table with 25 points, three ahead of Gaddafi, who hold onto the seventh place.
