Arsenal drew to relegation-threatening Southampton at the Emirate leaving them in ruins as they failed to go seven points clear of the league table.

A 3-3 draw against Southampton leaves Arsenal in a bad shape after Aaron Ramsdale gifted the visitors an early goal before adding the second goal of the night. Arsenal rallied back with a goal before halftime but it was not enough before going into the break.

In the second half, another woe was impounded on Arsenal as Southampton made it three which became a long night for the Gunners. However, the Gunners rallied back again for the second time and finished the game 3-3 at the Emirate Stadium.

Ramsdale looks unsettled says Neville

Aaron Ramsdale has received harsh criticism from Gary Neville for his error against Southampton during his team's 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s side started the game in a bizarre fashion, which started from their number one. Carlos Alcaraz received a fantastic opportunity to start the scoring in the first 27 seconds of the game when the £24 million man bizarrely threw the ball to him from outside the area.

Gary Neville criticised Aaron Ramsdale for how shakily he had begun the game while Arsenal was losing to Southampton.

Speaking after the game, he said, “He made a mess of the first one but made up for it with the second save. I'm getting a little nervous. Ramsdale looks unsettled”.

Ramsdale having a good season

While the England international has largely had an excellent season. He has made many saves for the Gunners this season as they hold on to their top spot.

However, his last two matches have been poor. Against West Ham United should have done a lot better to save Jarrod Bowen’s equaliser at his near post and also gifted Southampton the lead against Arsenal.

Gary Neville has criticised the England goalkeeper for his mistake and says the goalkeeper's actions in this instance remain a mystery.

A team of Manchester City's calibre will penalise errors of any type because they now hold their title aspirations in their own hands. Additionally, there are errors that are that obvious.
