Barcelona midfielder Gavi comments on Real Madrid's current transfer dealings.

The 18-year-old midfielder is a La Masia graduate, and his path into the team has been eased by the club's financial straits, which prevent them from solving squad issues on the transfer market.

The Blaugrana beat Madrid to the LALIGA title this season, but Los Merengues are expected to pose a tougher test next season with their new acquisitions, but Gavi says he is not worried.

What Gavi said

The Andalusian is currently on international duty with Spain, where he spoke with news outlet SPORT.

Gavi and La Furia Roja booked their place in the final of the Nations League last night, beating Italy 2-1.

In the conversation with the outlet, the midfielder was asked what he thought of the signings their biggest rivals were making, and Gavi assured it was nothing that bothered him.

Although he acknowledged his club's weak financial position, he explained that they have a strong team and a steady supply of talents from La Masia.

“Barça is not in its best economic moment, but we have come out of the young youth academy and we have a great team. That Madrid sign whoever they want? I don't care. We have ours, and we are going to fight to the death.”
