The defender signed a three-year contract, that will keep him at the club until 2026, saying that he has a burning desire to make a difference.
"Villa is a club that has always had a special place in my heart," Kizito said shortly after his move.
"I have been overwhelmed by the welcome messages from everyone at the club. I cannot wait to play for the Jogoos when the season begins."
“I’m looking forward to reaching our desired goals as a team, and I hope we have a very successful season ahead,” he added.
This pledge from Kizito comes at a crucial time for SC Villa, who narrowly missed out on the league title in the previous season.
Villa finished third, with 52 points from 28 games, just one point behind eventual champions Vipers and second-placed KCCA.
The Jogoos surrendered their two-point lead on the final day of the season with a 0-1 loss to URA FC.
The return of their former captain offers a glimmer of hope and the promise of a brighter future for the club.
SC Villa's campaign will kick off at the Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku, where they will face newcomers Kitara FC on Friday, September 15.
Kizito's influence extends beyond the club level. He has also been a part of the Uganda Cranes, contributing to their AFCON 2023 Qualification matches against Algeria and Niger.
His journey through the ranks, from the U-17 and U-20 teams to captaining the Uganda U-20 squad, culminated in winning silver at the 2021 U-20 AFCON championships hosted in Mauritania.
In addition to his accomplishments, Kizito guided St. Mary’s Kitende to victory in the Copa Coca-Cola and FEASSSA competitions in 2019.
