Having been unveiled as new head coach at Kitara FC, Brian Ssenyondo has been given souring targets by the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The newly promoted side are not shy of their targets and want to compete at the highest level, with the least they can settle for, being fifth in the Uganda Premier League.
"We have chosen Brian Ssenyondo as our next coach," started Club president Deo Kasozi at the unveiling on Wednesday at the Grand Imperial Hotel, Kampala.
"He fits into the club's targets which is finishing among the top five. We think that the energy and support we will give him will enable our club be competitive," Kasozi added.
"This season, we want to play competitive and entertaining football as well and coach Ssenyondo fills in the description," he reiterated.
Ssenyondo boasts strong passion for nurturing talent as exhibited at his former side UPDF FC and the Uganda U17 national team, previously, and Kasozi wants him to rub the same at Kitara.
"He has been at the national junior teans and we (therefore) expect him to bring in a couple of young players."
Meanwhile, Ssenyondo did not shy from the tasks given and vowed to give in his utmost best, for success at the Hoima-based outfit.
"I am happy to join this mighty family and once again happy to be entrusted with the vision the club," he told the press.
"It's a job I couldn't turn down. I am a young coach who is eager to perform and I want to sit on the table of great coaches."
"I have a culture of breeding new players to the topflight and I pride myself in that. I want Kitara to be one of the best clubs," he rumbled.
Besides UPDF which he officially left on Wednesday, Ssenyondo also coached at Synergy FC and at Mbarara City Football Club.
