'Go all out for the six points' - NFF charges Super Eagles to beat Rwanda and Zimbabwe

NFF has urged the Super Eagles to go all out for six points in their crucial World Cup qualifiers.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has issued a strong call to action, urging the Super Eagles to secure maximum points in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Nigeria facing a critical juncture in their qualification campaign, the NFF has emphasised the importance of winning both matches to revitalise their hopes of reaching the World Cup.

The Super Eagles are set to face Rwanda's Amavubi at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday, followed by a home clash against Zimbabwe's Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo next Tuesday.

What NFF said

The NFF has called for unwavering support from the nation during their executive committee meeting.

"The executive committee charged the players to go all out for the six points in both matches to boost Nigeria’s qualification hopes," reads a communique released following the NFF executive meeting.

The NFF also appealed to the Nigerian public to rally behind the team, "It also called on all Nigerians to support and encourage the team in whatever fair and proper way they are competent to, to guarantee victory in both matches."

Super Eagles are sitting in fifth position in Group C with three points from four games.
