The players resumed training after submitting their letters of apology, but investigations are still take taking place to identify those who led the strike.
Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has cleared the air on the status of the go-slow by the players demanding a sum of the prize money they got for winning the league and participating in the CECAFA Kagame Cup in July.
K’Ogalo players staged a sit-in since Saturday demanding a share of the prize money, an action that put them on a collision cause with the management.
The players also failed to travel to Nigeria for the Coal City tournament where they were supposed to play build-up matches with a number of teams and the club has now had enough.

EXPLAINED: Understanding the Gor Mahia players’ standoff over prize money: contracts, rights, and responsibilities
This is why players are not necessarily entitled to price money from competitions after Gor Mahia players were involved in a stand off with the club management citing the fact that they deserved bonus shares for the price money they received from FKF.
Although the tournament organisers failed to send visas and travel tickets on time, the go-slow also largely contributed to the club’s decision to pull out from participation at the tournament.
Rachier confirmed in a statement he made that was aired on the club;s social media pages that the players did indeed apologise after being required to show cause, in writing within 48 hours of the date of the warning letter issued to them last Tuesday for being in violation of Clause 6 of their contract with the club and Article 14 of FIFA’s Regulations
“The players resumed training on Saturday morning after we received apologies from the players concerned in the go-slow that started last Saturday,” Rachier confirmed.
He did however stress that no stone would be left unturned until they got to the bottom of the matter, vowing to take “appropriate action appropriately” to the culprits who instigated the go-slow.
