Gor Mahia’s path to the Kagame Cup semi-final is already closed but they will be hoping to exit the competition with pride when they face the formidable Al Hilal of Sudan.
During his visit to Dar es Salaam, Orengo met with top officials from Yanga, including the President of Young African Sports Club (Yanga) and Chairman of the African Club Association (ACA), Eng. Hersi Ally Said, alongside the Chairman of Gor Mahia, Ambrose Rachier.
“The teams have agreed to play an inaugural match during the official opening of Siaya Stadium. A collaboration agreement will be prepared for review and consideration," Orengo stated.
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia’s current stint in Tanzania for the 2024 CECAFA Cup has not been as successful on the pitch, with the team being eliminated early after managing only a single point from two games.
