Sanwo-Olu rewarded Coach Dreh for his remarkable accomplishment, swimming across the entire 11.8km length of the Third Mainland Bridge in an impressive time of 2 hours and 33 minutes.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu took to social media to commend Dare Samuel Akinrodoye, known as Coach Dreh, for his remarkable accomplishment.

Recall that Dare Samuel Akinrodoye swam across the entire 11.8km length of the Third Mainland Bridge in an impressive time of just 2 hours and 33 minutes on March 30, 2024.

Governor Sanwo-Olu not only applauded Coach Dreh's physical feat but also highlighted his dedication to a worthy cause.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu applauded the coach for his efforts to create awareness of mental health and his passion for swimming.

Coach Dreh believed he could use his swim to tackle a different kind of challenge: mental health awareness.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed this when he hosted Dr Dreh and his team alongside the commissioner of Youths.

He said, "Great achievements often stem from noble causes, and today, we celebrated a remarkable feat by one of Lagos's very own, Dare Samuel Akinrodoye, known as COACH DREH.

"On March 30th, 2024, he swam 11.8km across the Third Mainland Bridge in an impressive time of 2 hours and 33 minutes, not just as a challenge to himself, but with a mission to raise awareness and campaign against suicide and depression.

"It was an honour to welcome Coach Dreh and recognize his incredible journey, highlighting the importance of his cause. Lagos salutes your courage and commitment, Coach Dreh. Your dedication to making a difference both in and out of the water is truly inspiring. Your story embodies the strength and resilience that define the Lagos spirit."
