Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka will be confirmed as a new Bayer Leverkusen player in the coming days according to reports.
The Swiss international is set to end his seven years stay at the Emirates after announcing he will be leaving the club at the end of last season.

Granit Xhaka was signed by Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach for a fee worth £30 million in 2016 and made 297 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 29 assists for the Gunners.
The midfielder is set to make way for new signing Declan Rice as he completes his move to Bayer Leverkusen.

The 30-year-old is leaving the Gunners and heading back to Germany after Bayer Leverkusen agreed a deal with Arsenal.

As reported by Fabrizio on Twitter, “Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen, here we go! The agreement reached in May is now being signed between clubs.
“The green light arrived after the Rice deal was done. Arsenal will receive a €25m fee for Xhaka. Granit will sign until June 2028, a five-year deal.”
Arsenal are expected to receive a sum of €25 million from Leverkusen for Xhaka who signed a five-year contract with the German outfit.
Xhaka’s move was dependent on Rice's deal
At the end of the 2022/2023 season, Granit Xhaka announced that he was leaving the Gunners and a deal with Bayer Leverkusen was already in motion.
However, according to reports, Arsenal were only going to release Xhaka if they could finalise a deal with West Ham for Declan Rice.
