Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho Gaucho was in the West African country of Guinea over the weekend for a charity event.
The 42-year-old former Barcelona and AC Milan star thrilled lots of fans with his trademark move on the pitch and also took to Instagram to appreciate the Guineans for their warm welcome and support.
Taking to his official Instagram page on Wednesday, Ronaldinho wrote: ‘Mt thank you Guinea!!! I just want to thank the affection of such a cheerful and high-spirited people... one of a kind experience! See you next time guys 🇬🇳🙏🏾’.
Guniean entertainer Grand P lashes out having been earlier denied access to Ronaldinho
Popular Guinean entertainer Grand P says he was humiliated by police offers over the weekend, after being escorted out from the VIP lounge by a police officer and agents as he tried to welcome Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho to Guinea earlier this weekend.
In a post via Facebook on Saturday, the artist claims to have been present at Ahmed Sekou Touré International Airport, to receive the former footballer.
“In my capacity as Ambassador of Guinean Culture, I was forcibly humiliated today by a police officer and agents who disrespected me at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport.”, he wrote.
Grand P was not only furious that the situation was happening in his own country but also due to the fact that he was reportedly invited by the organizers to host the former Brazil international.
“Sacked from the VIP lounge like a vulgar person knowing my status, disrespecting me like this in my own country is an insult to me and my Manager Alpha Sylla.
“We are well received and welcomed everywhere we go and zealous people want to ridicule us at home. I fully deserve this honor given to me by the President of the Republic of Guinea Colonel Mamady Doumbouya… I just need a ‘full respect and consideration in my country.’, Grand P submitted via the post.
While on Instagram he also wrote:
'My own compatriots who were supposed to protect and honor my image humiliated me, disrespected and emptied in the VIP lounge of Ahmed Sekou Touré International Airport for the reception of #R10 being a high representative of culture and destination Guinea 🇬🇳 a legendary encounter 🤝 take a good look at the smile and joy that animates the face of the Brazilian football legend 🇧🇷 thank you for the consideration and respect @ronaldinho 🙏🙏 I am proud of who I am 🤲🤲 Allah ☝️ Catch up at Nongo stadium de️ for the gala match from 4pm onwards.'

The Guinean entertainer and influencer is popular on social media, with several memes of himself having gone viral.
However, he eventually ended up meeting the football legend on Saturday.
Ronaldinho Gaùcho was in Guinea for the first time on Friday, and the former Ballon d’Or winner who is widely known for his technicality, and outrageous skills with the ball participated in two events in the Guinean capital on Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11.
The former PSG star was present for a charity gala which will took place at the stadium General Lansana Conté de Nongo and also a dinner event
