Omurwa, who has been a key figure for Estrela this season, did not feature as they lost 2-0 to Porto on Saturday.
Harambee Stars defender Johnstone Omurwa was left out of an Estrela Amadora matchday squad for the second week in a row as they lost 2-0 to Porto on Saturday night.
Omurwa, who has been a key figure for the club whenever fit, was surprisingly left out again, having not played a part in their 3-0 win over Portimonense.
Featuring predominantly as a right center back in a back three, Omurwa has played 15 games and started 13 times, making 2.7 tackles and interceptions per 90 and also winning the ball 4.5 times a match.
Goals by Galeno and Joao Mario were enough to give Porto the win which keeps them third on 48 points, just four behind Benfica, while Estrela drop to 14th on 21 points.

STARS ABROAD Kenyan defender Gitau battles in Middlesbrough U21's tough defeat to Villa
Gitau made his fifth PL 2 appearance of the season for Middelsborough but could not do much to prevent them losing heavily to Aston Villa.
His impact in the friendly against Qatar, where he played the full 90 minutes, was particularly notable, helping Kenya secure a 2-1 victory.
Omurwa's potential for a long and successful career is evident as his rise to prominence is a story of hard work and dedication, and his performances in 2023 have solidified his status as a key player in both his club and national team.
