The reigning FKF Premier League most valuable player, who has earned three caps for the side, has picked up an untimely injury as Harambee Stars prepare for their double-header against Cameroon.
Stars place ahead of their next opponents Cameroon on goal difference and will hope to pull further ahead with a strong showing against the Indomitabe Lions.
"As usual our confidence is high and we have very high morale. These two games are very crucial. We play away and home against Cameroon," expressed Akumu via Tata Sports.

The return leg is scheduled for four days later in Kampala, Uganda, as the Harambee Stars strive to secure their place in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
