Harambee Stars forward has returned to training after surgery showing progress from severe Achilles tendon injury sustained in January.

Harambee Stars forward Masoud Juma has been spotted back in some level of training indicating a promising return to the pitch following his recent injury setbacks.

Videos shared on his Instagram page capture Juma diligently working out at a gym in Nairobi, several months after undergoing surgery on his ankle.

This development comes after a severe Achilles tendon injury that he sustained at the end of January while playing for his Saudi Arabian club, Al Jabalain.

The injury, a significant blow to both Juma and his club, occurred during a match, resulting in weeks of downtime and a surgical intervention.

Prior to this incident, Juma had been in stellar form, scoring consecutively in his last three appearances for the Harambee Stars against Russia, Gabon, and Seychelles.

In April, the resilient striker shared an inspiring update on his Instagram, marking a milestone in his recovery journey.

"It's a special day for me as I walk again 60 days after my surgery. The journey has now begun. It's a tough one, but I am sure I will be up to it. Thank you all for prayers and support. I am humble[d]," Juma expressed.

At 27, Juma boasts an illustrious career, having represented Kenya internationally and played across various clubs in the FKF Premier League.

His most notable domestic performance was with Kariobangi Sharks during the 2017 season, where he emerged as the league's top scorer with 24 goals.

His prowess on the field caught the attention of several international clubs, leading to stints with Libyan side Al-Nasr Benghazi and Algerian club JS Kabylie before moving to the Arabian Peninsula.

Juma’s international career has been equally impressive.

He made his senior debut for Kenya in June 2017 against Sierra Leone in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.

He was also part of the national team at AFCON 2019.

Prior to his adventures in the Middle East, Juma had a stint in South Africa with Cape Town City, where he was coached by Benni McCarthy.
