Napoli Scudetto winner Bruno Giordano credits Victor Osimhen as the 'best player in Serie A'
Victor Osimhen's exploits for Napoli this season continue to attract widespread attention and plaudits, latest of which have come from a Napoli legend.
Bruno Giordano became the latest Italian football stakeholder to take note of Osimhen's red-hot form and laud the Nigerian for his superb form.
Giordano himself donned the Napoli colours and was integral in helping the club their only two Italian league titles in 1987 and 1990, a feat Osimhen hopes to replicate.
"The best player in Serie A"
Giordano showered high praise on Osimhen on the Corriere dello Sport notebooks and even predicting that the striker could score 30 league goals.
"We are talking about the most important footballer in the Italian championship, probably - indeed certainly - the strongest," Giordano remarked about Osimhen.
The 66-year-old credited the coaching as well, "decisive as no one knows how to be and always projected beyond. He has changed and you can see it with the naked eye. And this is one of the great merits that must be recognized to Spalletti and his staff. They have improved him technically and also in his temperament, his edges and personality have been softened."
"Now he is in the game and he's in the team, he doesn't play for himself but for the others, he comes back, he goes to sew the maneuver, he finalizes it with the hunger of those who want to win," Giordano concluded.
Giordano was part of the famous Napoli front three, along with the legendary Diego Maradona and Brazilian Careca, that won the club two Scudettos in 1987 and 1990.
