Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has finally revealed the potential replacement for Julian Alvarez who left the club to join Atletico Madrid.
Manchester City are yet to sign a replacement for Julian Alvarez, who left to join Atletico Madrid in a club-record sale.
Alvarez was crucial for City last season, scoring 19 goals and contributing 13 assists, and was incredibly vital during the 8 weeks Erling Haaland missed through injury.
The Etihad club have brought in winger Savinho and former captain Ilkay Gundogan but failed to sign a replacement for Alvarez and adequate backup for Haaland.
Guardiola opens up on Julian Alvarez's replacement
Speaking ahead of City's game against West Ham, Guardiola explained:
"Oscar Bobb will be back in two or three months, and Phil Foden can play in that position [striker/false-nine], as can James McAtee, Ilkay Guendogan, and Bernardo Silva.
"Maybe it is a mistake that we don't sign anyone but we have options."
The champions have started the season with two wins out of two and travel to London to face West Ham on Saturday evening.
