Rio Ferdinand believes Man United will taking a huge risk if they sign Victor Osimhen because he is not familiar with English football but would prefer Harry Kane who know all about it.
Manchester United legend Rio Fernand is concerned about his former team’s transfer target Victor Osimhen.
The Old Trafford outfit are among the top European sides jostling for the Napoli striker who scored 23 goals in the current season.
The Red Devils are planning to recruit a natural striker to add more firepower in the team which currently does not have a natural number nine.

Victor Osimhen reportedly spotted in Berlin with his German girlfriend and daughter amid transfer rumour
Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is yet to make a decision on his future amid transfer speculation ahead of the summer window.
However, Ferdinand who won the Champions League with United in 2008 believes the club are taking a risk for 24-year-old who is not familiar with English football but would prefer Harry Kane who knows all about it.
Osimhen plied his trade in Belgium with Chaleroi, Wolfsburg in Germany, Lille in France before moving to Serie A side Napoli.
What Ferdinand said about signing with Osimhen
Ferdinand said on his VIBE with Five podcast as quoted by Metro:
“Osimhen is a different kettle of fish. He’s 24, he’s scored goals in France and now in Italy. Won the league (in Italy) and knows how to win leagues.
“He’s been a No.9 at a dominant team in the football league. Is that transferable to the Premier League? No one knows that. That’s the chance United would have to take on him.
“That’s the only risk I see. He doesn’t know the league – that’s it. Ability wise and profile, goalscoring, he ticks every box, but there is an unknown factor in does he know how to play in the Premier League? Can he adapt to the Premier League?
“But I wouldn’t see that as a big risk. I’d take either of those two and I’d be happy but the one thing with Kane, he guarantees you 20 or 25 goals a season. There’s no doubt in your mind he gets that when he comes to Man Utd.”
