Arsenal legend Robert Pires has claimed Manchester City have a winger who is better and more consistent than Bukayo Saka.
Robert Pires has sparked debate by claiming that Manchester City's Jeremy Doku is a better player than Arsenal's Bukayo Saka in terms of overall ability.
In an interview with Wettbasis, Pires urged Saka to elevate his performance in big matches and become more consistent, despite being arguably the most important player in Mikel Arteta's squad during their consecutive Premier League title challenges against City.
Robert Pires picks Doku ahead of Bukayo Saka
Pires, who won the title with Arsenal in 2004, believes Doku is better overall, saying.
"Bukayo still lacks a certain level of consistency and experience, especially in the big games.
"Perhaps this season, especially in the Champions League, he will show a more convincing face than last season when it counts."
Pires elaborated, "For example, in my opinion, Jeremy Doku from Manchester City is a bit better because he is technically stronger, has better dribbling skills, and is more imaginative."

Meanwhile, Saka will hope to lead Arsenal through what is expected to be a difficult few weeks, with captain Martin Odegaard injured and expected to be out for at least a month.
The creative burden will fall squarely on the shoulders of Arsenal's star boy, and perhaps he can prove Pires wrong by lifting his side through this hectic schedule.
