Although he has dealt with injuries, when fit, the forward has struggled to make regular starts.
Alan Shearer has asked Manchester United to move on from Anthony Martial because he is not good for the club.
The 27-year-old was a second-half substitute during the Premier League clash against West Ham United on Sunday and failed to make much impact as the Red Devils were beaten again.
He had a chance to score what would have been his fifth league goal of the season in injury time, but he was denied by Lukasz Fabianski.
The French forward spent loan time in the second half of last season with Sevilla, and when Erik ten Hag was appointed, he preferred to stick with Martial.
"Anthony Martial has had enough time at Manchester United," Shearer told Premier League Productions.

PREMIER LEAGUE Ten Hag explains why error-prone De Gea should extend Manchester United's deal
An error by Spanish goalkeeper during a match against West Ham United saw the Red Devils fail to go third.
"You don’t need to make any big decision on him because I think the decision has already been made or should already have been made.
"He’s been there long enough; he’s had enough chances. He’s not good enough to take Manchester United where they want to be.
"If he was good enough, he would be starting on a regular basis and he would be scoring goals. He’s had his time, and it hasn’t worked for him, that’s my opinion."

The Manchester United tactician wants an effective goal scorer in the summer transfer window.
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright echoed what Shearer said about the forward; "With all due respect to Martial, if you’ve got Wout Weghorst starting in front of you, you’ve got a problem," Wright said.
The season has been promising for United, especially after winning the Carabao Cup, but they find themselves fighting for a top-four finish and are set to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final in June.
However, with four games remaining in the season, they have struggled and lost the last two games against Brighton and West Ham United.
