United have not won or scored in their past three league matches.
Former defender Gary Neville has slammed Wout Weghorst as lacking the quality to be a Manchester United player.
This follows the Red Devils’ 2-0 Premier League defeat by Newcastle United on Sunday at St James Park.
Weghorst, who has started every game since signing for United on loan from Burnley in January, again led the attacks.
He has only scored twice in the 18 games he has played for United, and his wait for a Premier League goal continues.
His performance has always attracted criticism, and the latest critic is Neville.

Consequently, the Red Devils – without a win in three league games now - dropped to fourth place.
"He doesn’t deserve to be criticized; I think he is doing his very best," said the retired footballer.
"He works as hard as he possibly can, but he just lacks the quality that a player in that position should have at Manchester United.
"He's obviously filling in with Martial being injured. [Cristiano] Ronaldo’s left. [Edison] Cavani left at the start of the season.
"Manchester United don’t have a centre-forward, really. In order to play football really well, you have to have a good centre-forward. It’s a rule!"
The Dutchman is not expected to remain at Old Trafford beyond this season, as the club is unlikely to extend the loan deal.
Additionally, United have been linked with strikers like Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Goncalo Ramos of Benfica, and Randal Kolo Muani of Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, the loss to Newcastle meant the Red Devils – although they are on level points with the Magpies – slipped to the fourth position.
