Galatasaray keen to keep Osimhen

Despite Osimhen being one of the most sought-after strikers in world football, Galatasaray remain optimistic about retaining him.

Victor Osimhen has scored 26 goals in 30 matches for Galatasaray on loan.

Speaking to Sport Mediaset, Kavukcu expressed confidence in the club’s ability to compete with Europe’s elite, saying, “His arrival here was a dream - he came, and for now, he is playing with us.”

The Nigerian striker has been a coveted target in recent years, and interest from five of the biggest clubs in world football suggests a transfer battle is on the horizon. Kavukcu admitted there was January interest, but Osimhen chose to stay and complete his season with Galatasaray.

As he prepares to feature for Nigeria against Rwanda in a World Cup qualifier, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain.

Victor Osimhen spoke to Eric Chelle on the phone.

Yet, Kavukcu remains defiant, stating, “His stay at Galatasaray is not as impossible as it may seem.” Whether the Turkish giants can pull off the impossible dream remains to be seen, but for now, Osimhen remains their star striker.
