Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has expressed confidence that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will be the star of AFCON 2023.
Osimhen, the current CAF Player of the Year, is anticipated to lead the Super Eagles in their quest for glory in Cote d'Ivoire, in a strong Group A containing Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and the hosts Ivory Coast.

Osimhen tipped to shine at AFCON 2023
The 25-year-old demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess by netting 26 goals last season, contributing to Napoli's historic Scudetto triumph.
“Victor Osimhen is one player who you can count on. He is in great form and we have seen his abilities in front of goal.
"He leads the line confidently and scores lots of great goals and in tournaments like this you need goals,” Mokwena told Times Live.
Nigeria begin their AFCON 2023 journey against Equatorial Guinea on January 14, in Abidjan.
