Uganda will be represented by Royal Giants High School from Mityana and Amus College in the boys' and girls' categories respectively.
The Council for East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) has confirmed the details for the CAF African Schools Football Championship.
The CECAFA Executive Director Auka Gecheo revealed that the tournament will take place between February 17th and 19th in Tanzania at the 10,000-seater Azam Stadium in Chamazi.
“We are busy making the final touches to ensure that the youngsters have a successful tournament at the artificial ground,” Gecheo was quoted by CECAFA.
“The different School teams from around the region are excited about the tournament and cannot wait to come and showcase their talent,” he added.
Gecheo also revealed that at least four countries out of the 12 will not take part in the tournament.
These include Eritrea, Somalia, Zanzibar and Kenya. The former is coming out of a FIFA ban.
The regional body has also organized a 3-day workshop for coaches, referees and young reporters.

The winners of the zonal qualifiers will take home US$ 100,000 while the first and second runners up will bag $75,000 and $50,000.
The continental finals will take place from April 7th to 9th.
