The Law Enforcers produced a goalkeeping masterclass in the 2022/2023 FKF Premier League season.

Kenya Police FC's exceptional goalkeeping display proved to be a crucial factor in their remarkable third-place finish in the 2022/2023 FKF Premier League season, according to statistical data released by the club on Monday.

The Law Enforcers boasted one of the league's most formidable defensive records, conceding a mere 22 goals, which was the joint second-lowest tally after KCB, who conceded 19.

A significant portion of this accomplishment can be attributed to the brilliance of their goalkeepers, who consistently displayed unwavering determination and skill between the posts.

Headlining the goalkeeping department was, Job Ochieng. Since joining Kenya Police FC from Mathare United in 2022, Ochieng has become a pillar of strength between the posts despite his occasional howlers.

Throughout the season, Ochieng stood tall in 28 matches, conceding a mere 19 goals while recording a remarkable 14 clean sheets.

His consistent and composed performances served as a foundation for the team's success, instilling confidence in his teammates and providing a solid last line of defense.

Despite facing stiff competition, Ochieng's shot-stopping abilities proved invaluable time and again.

His agility, reflexes, and commanding presence in the penalty area thwarted numerous goal-scoring opportunities, leaving opponents frustrated and fans awestruck.

Supporting Ochieng in the goalkeeping department was Patrick Matasi, who arrived at Kenya Police FC during the mid-season transfer window from Tusker.

Matasi, though limited to just five matches due to a groin injury sustained in April, showcased his immense talent and potential.

During his short stint, he conceded only three goals, highlighting his ability to perform at the highest level.

As Matasi recovers from his injury, his return to full fitness promises to provide Kenya Police FC with even greater depth and options in goal.

Additionally, Ruben Juma, although playing only ten minutes as a substitute, demonstrated his readiness when called upon.

His brief appearance showcased his commitment and readiness to contribute to the team's success whenever required. Juma's presence in the squad further reinforces Police's goalkeeping depth available in their ranks.

With an overall defensive record of conceding a mere 22 goals, Police's goalkeepers played an integral role in their team's success.

Poice won 18 matches, drawing 10, and losing six, they accumulated an impressive total of 64 points.

Moreover, their attacking prowess was on full display, with a league-high 57 goals scored throughout the season.
