Mikel Arteta has revealed what Arsenal have to do to defeat Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend.
Mikel Arteta says Arsenal simply have to play better than Liverpool if they're to end their 12-year winless streak at Anfield.
Arsenal, who are top of the PL table, enter a high-stakes showdown against Liverpool with the opportunity to consolidate their position at the top.
Currently sitting one point ahead of Liverpool, a victory on Merseyside would not only secure three crucial points but also ensure their continued reign at the summit of the Premier League table.
Arteta speaks on Arsenal's chances against Liverpool
When asked how Arsenal can earn a first win at Liverpool since 2011, Arteta said:
"You have to play better than them. You need to play on the front foot and attempt to silence the crowd and if you are dominant and better than them, you have a chance.
"We have done it at Old Trafford, we have done it at Stamford Bridge and many other places where we haven't done it for years," he added.
"This is the next challenge. Go there and win. If you want to be at the top you have to go to those places and be dominant. That's what we're going to try to do."
