Hugo Lloris is set to miss crucial champions league tie against AC Milan after picking up injury in the 1-o victory over Manchester City.
Tottenham's goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, is set to be out for six to eight weeks due to a knee injury he picked up in the 1-0 triumph over Manchester City.
The victory came with huge celebrations as Harry Kane became the club's record scorer during the game. The joy of the occasion, however, has been tainted because Tottenham's goalkeeper and captain, Hugo Lloris, is set to miss a significant number of games at a critical point in the season.
Lloris out
Sky Sports report that Tottenham are set for a spell of six to eight weeks without goalkeeper Hugo Lloris due to injury.
The French international picked up the injury in the victory against Manchester City, and scans show that he has sustained ligament damage.
The 36-year-old is not expected to require surgery, but he is scheduled to be out for six to eight weeks.
What this means for Tottenham
The World Cup winner, who according to Transfermarkt has yet to miss a game for Tottenham due to injury since 2020, is set to be out for about two months or less, depending on the progression of his injury.
This would mean Lloris is set to miss both legs of Tottenham's Champions League tie against AC Milan, their FA Cup fifth-round matchup against Sheffield United, and with games coming thick and fast, at least six Premier League games.
Fraser Forster, who has only featured four times for Tottenham since signing as a free agent from Southampton, is expected to fill in for Lloris.
