Mbappe set to leave PSG this summer
Macron has been vocal about his hope for Mbappe to grace the 2024 Olympics in Paris as one of the overaged players for France’s U23 team and in a recent speech, he accidentally revealed the PSG star’s next career move.
Mbappe recently announced that he would be leaving PSG when his contract expires this summer, but did not definitively state where he would be playing his football next season, only hinting that he would be leaving the shores of France when he moves to his next club.
Macron confirms Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid
Macron however, was less discreet, when talking about Mbappe’s possible participation in the Olympic games, saying, “I am counting on Real Madrid to release Kylian for the Olympic games so that he can come and play with the French team.”
The French President’s admission that the final decision concerning Mbappe’s appearance at the Olympic games lies with Real Madrid is further proof adding fuel to the fire of rumours linking the Striker to a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
