Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has apologised to one of his players for the treatment he received this season.
Pep Guardiola has issued an unreserved apology to Kalvin Phillips after calling the midfielder overweight last December.
Phillips, now on loan at West Ham, struggled at the Etihad for 18 months due to issues ranging from injury setbacks, inconsistent performances, and an inability to displace Rodri at the base of midfield.
Last December, ahead of a Carabao Cup clash against Liverpool, Guardiola defended his decision to leave Phillips out of the squad, saying he returned to the team "overweight"
