The English born striker of Nigerian descent is now looking to play at his parent club Arsenal or be outrightly sold during the summer window.
Balogun joined Arsenal in 2021 on a four-year deal and made only two Premier League appearances before being sent on loan to Middlesbrough.
Balogun’s message to Arteta
Shortly after the Nations League win, Balogun who has attracted interest from top European clubs, passed a message to Arteta as quoted by Goal.
“I'm not sure [about] the discussions that are going to take place. I'm not sure what's going to happen. But I'm just committed to now; I try to stay present. I obviously want to enjoy the moment with my team and my family. What I can say is that I definitely won't go on loan again.”
