Respected Italian pundit Fabrizio Ponciroli didn't hold back as he criticised AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli for his handling of Samuel Chukwueze.
The Nigerian winger, who dazzled in the 2022-2023 season at Spanish outfit Villarreal, made a high-profile move to the Rossoneri last summer for a hefty sum that could reach 28 million euros with bonuses.
Despite a rocky start in Italy, Chukwueze has begun to showcase his talent since mid-March, leaving fans and pundits wondering why he's yet to cement a spot in the starting lineup.

Chukwueze silenced as Okafor rescue crucial point for AC Milan atr Frosinone
Samuel Chukwueze was kept quiet for most of the game as AC Milan needed a late Noah Okafor equaliser to snatch a draw at Sassuolo.
Instead, Pioli has favoured United States sensation Christian Pulisic for the right-wing role, despite Chukwueze's growing form.
Fabrizio backs Chukwueze
Ponciroli exclaimed to TMW Radio, via Milan News, "I don't know what Pioli sees in Musah, there's Chukwueze in good condition and I don't know why he never plays.
"I think Pioli has lost control of the situation. He was certainly convinced of these choices, it's true that talking about them later is easier, but from before I already considered these choices to be wrong."
While Pulisic hasn't disappointed, tallying an impressive 21 goal involvements since his arrival from Chelsea, Ponciroli believes it's time for Pioli to adjust his tactics to accommodate Chukwueze's talents.
Pioli's future at AC Milan hangs in the balance following their Europa League exit at the hands of AS Roma, followed by a bitter derby defeat to Inter Milan on Monday.
