In an interview, Díaz who called Messi the best footballer on the planet, described the encounter as a "dream come true" and admitted he almost died from excitement.
Díaz, 27, revealed that he was starstruck when he met Messi, "I almost died, it was like a dream come true," he said, still in awe of the encounter.

"I told him I was a huge fan, and he was very kind to me. He's an idol, a legend, and it was an honour to meet him."
“Leo has always been my reference. Leo is the best player in the world. I love him.
"I have his shirt, I asked for it through another player, he signed it for me and put it for me: ‘With affection for Luis'”.
The Colombian forward expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet his idol and said he would cherish the memory forever.
