Liverpool manager Arne Slot has revealed that he has never seen Victor Boniface play out of position for Bayer Leverkusen.
Leverkusen suffered a 4-0 defeat at Anfield on Tuesday night in their UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.
A hat-trick from Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo’s goal sealed the victory for Arne Slot’s side as they moved to the top of the table.
However, the Liverpool manager's attention was drawn to Xabi Alonso's approach rather than the victory.

Slot speaks on Boniface's position
Slot has claimed that Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso altered his strategy for Tuesday night's UEFA Champions League encounter between the two teams at Anfield.
The manager was asked to comment on the entire performance and what he believed made the difference for Liverpool in the second half as soon as he entered the press conference.
According to Liverpool official website, the Dutchman said, "Like many times now, managers change their game plan when they come to Anfield or when they play us.
"That's also what we saw today. I and my staff see quite a lot if we go into a game like this. We've seen a lot of games from Leverkusen.
"I have never seen Boniface playing from left so they played without a nine. And that's why they overloaded the midfield a lot, it was quite difficult to press them high, but the good thing is that we hardly conceded anything."
Victor Boniface was named as a centre forward on the UEFA squad sheet and match announcer, however, Arne Slot pointed out that the Bayer Leverkusen number 22 did not play the role.
Boniface had to give way to Patrik Schick with nine minutes left in the game, and he did not influence the outcome.
