Super Eagles head coach defended his choice to trust Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu.
Super Eagles head coach Finidi George snapped when his decision to trust Paul Onuachu in the match against South Africa was questioned. He stated that he was the coach, he knew the team best, and the decision ultimately rested with him.
Onuachu fails to inspire
With Victor Osimhen injured, Finidi George trusted Paul Onuachu over Terem Moffi and Victor Boniface in the CAF World Cup Qualifier 1-1 draw against South Africa.

Shin Yubin admitted that she enjoyed her stay in Lagos and hopes to have such lovely experience again this year.
Onuachu was underwhelming in the match and was eventually substituted for the OGC Nice striker in the 80th minute, but for many, he should have come off much sooner.
What Finidi said
Speaking about his choice to rely on the lanky striker, the former Enyimba boss told reporters that he was the coach, he saw the full picture unlike his critics and made the decision based on his knowledge.
"No one will tell me when to make changes, the crowd can be shouting,” Finidi said, per OgaNla Media.
“Everyone is a coach, when you stand outside you see, but when you sit there you don't see anything. Onuachu stayed longer in the game, it was our decision, that should not bother anyone.”
Although the Trabzonspor forward did not start in the 2-1 defeat to Benin, he came on as early as the 51st minute, with the Super Eagles chasing the game, underscoring Finidi's trust in him.
