In July last year the Dutchman was linked with FKFPL side Kakamega Homeboyz .

Former AFC Leopards coach Pieter De Jongh has criticized football administrators in Malawi over the poor running of the top-flight league.

The criticisms come after the Dutchman, the current coach of Malawi Super League side Silver Strikers watched a local match between Mighty Wanderers and Tigers in which he slammed the referee for poor officiating.

Speaking to the press on Thursday, De Jongh says he will only be silenced once the southern African football levels improve.

"I will not shut my mouth; I won't be quiet until football changes in Malawi. If it is unfair, why should I watch the wrong things?

"I am a good person who doesn't speak with emotions or being angry, only that people don't understand me.

"There was a fight between Technical panels when Wanderers played against Tigers and no red card was flashed there while I, just asking for additional time, I got booked."

Last week, the 52-year-old gaffer slammed the Football Association of Malawi for allowing Nyasa Big Bullets striker Hassan Kajoke to continue amid allegations that the striker has contracts with two clubs.

De Jongh was appointed in February on a two-year contract taking over from Zambian coach Daniel Kabwe, who was fired in July of last year.

Despite his controversial statements, the gaffer is remembered in Kenya for helping AFC Leopards avoid relegation in 2014.

Ingwe sacked him in December of the same year with another major highlight was masterminding a 3-1 mauling of Gor Mahia in the first leg Mashemeji derby in June 2014.
