Guardiola provided a definite answer to his future beyond Manchester City.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has stated that he will not coach another club after the English champions. And with his contract set to expire in 2026, he has seemingly put a clock on his time in management.
The 53-year-old was thrust into the deep end from the offset, as unlike many coaches, Guardiola has to start his career at the very top and at his dream job, Barcelona.

'It will be difficult all season' - Guardiola on Man City's Champions League hopes
The Premier League champions are grappling with injuries and inconsistency, putting their qualification hopes at risk.
He went on to achieve remarkable success with the Blaugrana, replicated a bit of that with Bayern Munich, before his current stint at Manchester City, in which he has led the club to unprecedented heights and set numerous Premier League records.

What Guardiola said
The Spaniard is in his 9th year as Manchester City boss, the longest he has spent at any club. A few weeks ago, he penned a contract extension that ensured he will spend at least a decade in the Cityzens’ dugout.
Before signing the extension, talks of his future outside the club were heating up, and a mere one-year renewal has done little to end the speculations.
The Olympic gold medallist has now given a definite answer on his future, stating clearly that he will not coach another club after Manchester City, whether in England or overseas.
“I’m NOT gonna manage any other club after City,” Guardiola said. “I’m not talking about the long-term future but what I’m not going to do is leave, go to another country, do the same thing as now. Maybe a national team, but that’s different.”
While this does not confirm if he will leave Manchester City in 2026, it gives a clearer answer to Guardiola's mindset regarding his time left as a football coach.
