KCCA FC’s announcement of their preseason plans seems to have come with big decisions.

A player exodus has already started, and left-back Mustafa Kizza is the latest to announce his departure from Lugogo.

The player announced Friday afternoon that he is leaving the club.

“As I bid farewell (again) to my boyhood club, I am also filled with gratitude for giving me the opportunity to play again,” Kizza posted on his Twitter account Friday afternoon.

“It was a tough season. Injuries did not help either,” he added.

KCCA fell short in the race for the Startimes Uganda Premier League, and Kizza has some regrets.

“There are some things I wish we did better, but that’s life. I am always proud to represent the Cityzens and to do my best whenever given the chance,” he revealed.

“Now I have to move on but with gratitude in my heart. Thanks to all the fans for support during the good and bad times. I wish you the best of luck for the season and always.”

Kizza is only one of the many players expected to leave the MTN Omondi Stadium.

His announcement came an hour after another left-back, Brian Majwega revealed that he would be leaving the club.

Team captain Benjamin Ochan and defender Geoffrey Wasswa are the others leaving.

KCCA will start their preseason on Sunday under new head coach Sergio Tragil ahead of a busy season.
