Legendary striker Wayne Rooney has thrown his weight behind Jude Bellingham's future Ballon d'Or aspirations.
Following the young Englishman's impressive start at Real Madrid, Rooney sees Bellingham as a serious contender for the prestigious award.

Jude Bellingham has received praise from Wayne Rooney after his impressive start to the season with his new teammates at Real Madrid.
Rooney told Skysports, "If he keeps doing what he's doing, then why not? Again, we've gone through that cycle of Messi and Ronaldo where they've dominated."
Rooney continued, acknowledging the Ballon d'Or's past dominance, "I'm sure there will be five or six players fighting to try and win the next one. I'm sure if he keeps doing what he's doing, he'll be right up there,"
Bellingham has set LaLiga alight since joining Real Madrid, currently leading the scoring charts. His early success has impressed Rooney, who believes continued improvement could lead to the ultimate individual accolade.
