Lionel Messi is set to become the co-owner of e-sports company KRU E-sports, along with Sergio Aguero.
Just one week after winning a record-extending 8th Ballon d'Or, Lionel Messi has ventured into the exciting world of gaming alongside long-time friend Sergio Aguero.
The two have launched an e-sports company called KRU Esports.
Messi, Aguero partner in new business
The KRU released a statement to the effect:
"Sergio Kun Aguero, CEO of KRU Esports and former professional football player, and Lionel Messi, the best footballer of all time, seal an alliance as partners of KRU, the eSports organization created in 2020 by Kun," the statement read.
Reacting to the news on social media, Manchester United legend David De Gea, founder and president of Rebels Gaming called on Cristiano Ronaldo to come partner with him as well.
Ronaldo is yet to respond but fans are eagerly waiting for him to do so, and perhaps, ignite another rivalry in the world of E-sports.
