Mbappe shines against Betis
Real Madrid dominated the first half but struggled to break the deadlock, and they seemed headed for another disappointing result.
Mbappe intervened, however, first scoring in the 67th minute when he was released into space behind the Real Betis backline thanks to a backheel pass from Federico Valverde.
He doubled his tally in the 75th minute from the penalty spot after Vinicius was brought down in the box by Real Betis goalkeeper Rui Silva.
What Mbappe said
Speaking after the match, Mbappe had the following to say about finally breaking the duck.

“Three games is not a lot for other players, but for me, it’s a lot. The club and fans have been with me; they give me the confidence to give everything.”
