Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba believes the current situation is all down to the players' inconsistencies and need for more concentration.
As Vipers SC try to figure out the best way to bounce back from the poor results in the CAF Champions League, those who know how best the situation can be arrested have spoken out.
Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba believes the current situation is all down to the players' inconsistencies and need for more concentration.
"Vipers are a good team with good players, but they have a lot of inconsistencies, especially in the lineup," Kajoba said before adding.
"They keep changing it game by game, and for me, that affects the team's rhythm. But, unfortunately, the players are also not giving their all."
"Modern football requires you to give everything because if all the players do it as a unit, then success will come."
The Uganda Premier League defending champions are yet to score a goal in open play since new Brazilian-born Spanish head coach Bianchi Beto took charge.
The six games managed by Beto since his arrival have seen Vipers advance in two Stanbic Uganda Cup games on post-match penalties after goalless draws.
Also, a barren draw in the league, their first CAF Champions League home game (vs Horoya), and two losses to Simba and Raja Casablanca, respectively.
Beto's charges will now have the entire week to prepare for their next game against Simba away in Dar-es-Salaam after their league game against Arua Hill which was postponed at their request.
Third-placed Vipers are now seven points adrift of table leaders KCCA FC, and the two sides are set to meet on 19th March 2023 in Kitende.
