Uganda Cranes head coach Multin Micho Sredejovic says the defending champions look different from last season when Walid Regragui managed them as they beat Al Ahly in the final.

The CAF Champions League quarter-final second-leg ties will take centre stage starting Friday when defending champions Wydad Casablanca face Simba in Casablanca.

Uganda Cranes head coach Multin Micho Sredejovic says the defending champions look different from last season when Walid Regragui managed them as they beat Al Ahly in the final.

"We are not seeing the best from Wydad compared to Regragui's reign last season, but the fans will back them; they will play a huge role in the game," Micho told a Twitter space with African soccer zone on Wednesday night.

The 'Serbian Wolf' also expressed concern with Simba's goalkeeper and other senior players like Saido Ntibazonkiza and Clatous Chota Chama, who he said have been able to step up despite their age.

"Simba has to manage the game, Chama and Ntibazonkiza will be key, but they need to have the legs the entire game," Micho noted.

"If Simba doesn't score in the first half, then it will be hard in the second half.”

"Ally Salim (G.K) will have to remain calm amidst the intimidating atmosphere, same for Inonga and Onyango.”

Micho added: But overall, Simba's win over Yanga and the first leg are huge motivations.”

Wydad Casablanca and Simba will face off on Friday 28th, at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca.

Simba carries a 1-0 aggregate lead, having won in Dar-es-Salaam with a Jean Baleke strike.
