The news comes after the Uganda Cranes player underwent surgery to work on his torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament of his right knee.

KCCA centre-back John Revita has signed a new contract to stay at the club for another year.

The new contract will keep the defender at the club until the end of the 2023-24 season but with an option of an additional year.

The news comes after the Uganda Cranes player underwent surgery to work on his torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament of his right knee.

"Center half John Revita has undergone successful knee surgery following an injury that tore the Anterior Cruciate Ligament of his right knee last season," KCCA said in a statement released Friday afternoon.

"The player is responding well to treatment and is expected to bounce back in a couple of months upon his complete recovery."

Revita joined KCCA FC in 2019 and has been at the club for four years.

The past two years have, however, been full of disappointment for Revita, who has had long spells on the sidelines with injury.

"Everyone at KCCA FC wishes John Revita a proper recovery and a smooth return to play."

With KCCA getting a new head coach, it remains to be seen if he will use the defender when fully fit.
