Chelsea get major injury updates ahead of their clash against Arsenal this weekend.

Chelsea have received a major boost for their season as club captain Reece James returned to training alongside centre-back Axel Disasi.

What happened

The Blues have struggled with injuries this season, with manager Mauricio Pochettino having to navigate through his early days as a Chelsea boss without some of the best talents at the club.

One of which is the club's captain, Reece James, who has only been available to start one league game this campaign, the season opener against Liverpool.

The England international suffered a relapse of a stem injury after the clash against the Reds and has since missed 10 games for Chelsea.

The West London team has struggled for the better part of the season; however, in recent matches, they seem to be finding their feet after winning three straight games.

Their turn of form has now coincided with the return of one of their most important players, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the right-back trained with the rest of the Chelsea squad at Cobham on Wednesday.

Also, Disasi, who suffered a muscle injury after Chelsea's win against Burnley, is also back in training.

More on Chelsea

As Pulse Sports reported, Brazil and Chelsea star Thiago Silva has suggested that he could return to Fluminense next year, according to reports.

Silva, who joined Chelsea in the 2020 summer transfer window, will be out of contract at Stamford Bridge in June.

The Chelsea player first played for the Brazilian team as a professional between 2006 and 2009 after spending time there as a youth in the club's academy.

The defender, who has been in West London since 2020, has made references to one last transfer and an emotional reunion.
