The 18-year-old has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar for some while.
After months of scouting following a brilliant performance at an invitational tournament in 2022, young Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is on the verge of joining Serie A side Inter Milan.
This is according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, which reports that Akinsanmiro has also been on the radar of Spanish and Portuguese sides Real Madrid and Benfica.
However, the Nerazzurri are being reported as the sides, closest to getting the signature of the youngster.
Akinsanmiro's profile
18-year-old Akinsanmiro (born November 25, 2004) plays for the youth side of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) team, Remo Stars.
Although with the club's youth side, the attacking midfielder featured in four matches for the Sky Blue Stars in the 2021/22 NPFL season, amassing a total of about 50 minutes in fixtures against Heartland, Dakkada, Kano Pillars and Sunshine Stars.
He came into the perspective for Inter after emerging as the best player in the Viareggio tournament in 2022.
Inter Milan have been on the lookout for new talents since promoting most of the young players who starred in last season's Under-19 Scudetto win, to the senior team.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, it should not be long before the Nerazzurri wrap up the signing of the 18-year-old from Remo Stars.
Remo Stars currently top of their NPFL group
Meanwhile, the Sky Blue Stars currently lead their Group in the abridged 2023 NPFL season, after having won their first three matches of the season and picking up all available points.
