It was the first time in three years that SMASK was beating Buddo at the district level as the latter had defeated them in the past two years.

In clinching the championship, SMASK qualified to the Nationals, a competition they won last year after beating St Henry's College, Kitovu.

Meanwhile, enroute to yesterday's final, the Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa-owned school comfortably and emphatically beat Kakungulu High School and Andy Mwesigwa School 2-0 and 5-0 in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.

Overall, SMASK played 10 games and won each one of them, scoring 38 goals and conceding none.

Attacker Denis Kisiriko emerged the Wakiso District Championship top-scorer with 10 goals.
