The attacking midfielder joined She Corporate from Ajax Queens in 2019 while she also played for Rines SS and London College between 2015 to 2017 and 2014 respectively.

FUFA Women Super League Champions She Corporate WFC head coach Hassan Issa does not regret the departure of Phiona Nabbumba.

Nabbumba was announced as a new player at Boldklubben af 1893 in Denmark on Sunday bringing an end to her two-year stay at Nakawa.

“Our captain has turned professional and everyone at the club is proud of Nabbumba, we do not regret anything,” Issa opened up to Pulse Sports.

“She has diligently served She Corporate and it was the right timing for her to start playing on an international level and we wish her all the best.”

Issa added: “As a club, we have lost an exceptionally talented player but it would be unfair of us to stand in her way when such a deal came up.”

Nabbumba leaves the FWSL defending champions struggling in the fifth position on the 10-team log with 14 points but their tactician believes that fortunes will turn around and also other good players will come their way.

“She has arguably been the best player in the league but she started somewhere else before she came here.”

“Women's football is developing now and then in Uganda and seeing such movements should make everyone proud.”

“The club will still get good players like Nabbumba or even those that are better as we try to improve our performance,” he noted.

The attacking midfielder joined She Corporate from Ajax Queens in 2019 while she also played for Rines SS and London College between 2015 to 2017 and 2014 respectively.

She was instrumental as She Corporate won the 2021/22 FWSL title, and played at WAFCON in July 2022 with the Crested Cranes.

And also, at the CECAFA Women's Champions League qualifiers in Tanzania where she scored six goals and managed five assists as Corporate became the first Ugandan team to reach the final but unfortunately lost to Simba Queens.

At B93, Nabbumba joins her compatriot goalkeeper Venessa Karungi who also joined the Danish club from She Corporate in 2021 and is the club's current captain.
