Hargreaves on Real Madrid trio
After seeing Madrid's revamped front line for the first time, Owen Hargreaves was shocked at the quality in their attack.
Hargreaves told TNT Sport, as reported by Euro Sports, “Those four combining, it’s not fair. If these guys are going to look out for each other and combine like this… That front four playing together, they’re going to put up ridiculous numbers this season.”
Rio Ferdinand was also present to share his initial thoughts on the incredible quartet, which he said was “scary”.
He said, “There are going to be competitions within the team, forget about everyone else. Competitions to get the most assists, get the most goals.
“The movement on show even there, from Mbappe to get on the end of that [Bellingham pass for the goal] was beautiful, subtle but beautiful.”
Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, who shone for Real Madrid against Atalanta in the Super Cup final, are predicted to put up "ridiculous numbers" this year.
On his Madrid debut, Mbappe scored his first goal as Los Blancos defeated the Italian team 2-0 in Warsaw to win the club's sixth Super Cup.
Bellingham masterfully set up Mbappe for his goal, displaying fantastic footwork before finding his new teammate with a wonderfully timed ball.
With Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, two Brazilians, flanking him and Bellingham right behind, Mbappe is now leading a beautiful onslaught.
